Long straight horizontal striping, along with clean, refined geometric forms help to seamlessly blend this new construction apartment building into a neighborhood ripe with the Art Deco-inspired buildings that took Los Angeles by storm in the 1930’s. The streamlined look of Art Deco designs pulled inspiration from the then “new” materials and manufacturing processes of the 30’s which focused on higher quality construction and less on ornamentation. High-quality materials and construction processes can be seen throughout this building as well with operable windows on every floor, improving indoor air quality through natural ventilation while also taking advantage of natural lighting.
